Alloy electrode type E 18 8 Mn B / E307-15 for welding and cladding in all positions except perpendicular downwards. Versatile electrode for many applications - welding of "difficult to weld" steels, dissimilar welding as well as for repair and maintenance. For rigid buffers and intermediate layers for rail and switch cladding, valve seats and in hydropower plants. Weld metal offers exceptionally high ductility with excellent resistance to cracking. Good resistance to embrittlement when operating at operating temperatures from -100oC to 650oC. The weld metal is resistant to scale formation up to 850 °C, but at temperatures above 500 °C there is insufficient resistance to sulphurous combustion gases.
