Fontargen A3005 V Free Flow is a silver-containing alloy with excellent flow characteristics and is suitable for brazing copper and copper alloys. Homogeneous dispersion of phosphorus increases ductility. Fontargen A3005 V Free Flow is suitable for solder joints operating at temperatures between -76°F and +302°F. Fontargen A3005 V Free Flow offers good corrosion resistance except when in contact with sulfurous environments, especially at high temperatures. Due to the formation of brittle intermetallic compounds that can cause joint failure, phosphorus-containing filler metals should not be used on Fe- and Ni-containing base alloys.
