Pulse welding of steel

The qualities of pulse welding are generally known - optimal control of the weld pool, almost no spatter, controlled material transfer and virtually no grinding work. Pulse welding is common in both aluminium and stainless steel welding. With steel, this has been a problem so far due to the fact that the surface quality of the weld was not as important and pulse welding was slower. However, that is now a thing of the past because LORCH "Speedpulse" sources are arriving with high-speed pulse welding and that in the full range of power. Much faster in manual welding and also excellent in automation. While standard pulse welders only melt one drop of material per pulse, Speedpulse devices provide almost continuous material transfer into the weld bath.
