This hood has a self-altering cassette. It is equipped with solar cells, the filter is automatically activated by light, do not contain batteries. The hood is shaped to deflect flying sparks, and the 150mm wide grinding shield offers a great field of view unless obscuration is required. The cartridge holder can slide out on top of the hood for added comfort. This is an advantage over conventional opening mechanisms, optimising the centre of gravity, increasing the field of vision and reducing the amount of space required by the helmet. The Evolve Auto hood can be equipped with an ADC cassette, uses the latest technology and guarantees uniform darkening of the entire cassette even at different angles, e.g. when welding in positions (ADC - Angular Dependence Compensation).
