BÖHLER Thermanit Nicro 82 - 2.5 × 300 mm, 4 kg, 67842, Alt. UTP 068 HH
BÖHLER Thermanit Nicro 82 are high-alloy nickel-coated electrodes designed for MMA welding of nickel alloys, heat-resistant steels, stainless steels, and dissimilar materials. Thanks to the high nickel content, they are also suitable for demanding joints between stainless, nickel, and unalloyed steels, where high toughness, resistance, and weld metal stability are required. Typical applications include thermally stressed structures, pressure vessels, boiler and pipe parts, chemical industry, power engineering, repairs, surfacing, and demanding transition joints. The electrode is also suitable as a buffer layer in applications where it is necessary to limit carbon migration and reduce the risk of brittle zones in the weld transition.
The electrodes are suitable for joining and surfacing of heat-resistant Cr and CrNi steels, nickel alloys, and difficult-to-weld material combinations. The weld metal has an austenitic structure, very good toughness even at low temperatures down to -269 °C, and resistance to scaling up to approximately 1000 °C.
The 2.5 × 300 mm size is suitable for precision welding, root passes, repairs, surfacing, and technically demanding joints where good control over the weld pool is important. The product is also alternatively designated as UTP 068 HH.
Main advantages:
- Nickel-based high-alloy electrode
- Classification EN ISO 14172: E Ni 6082 (NiCr20Mn3Nb)
- Classification AWS A5.11 / SFA-5.11: ENiCrFe-3 (mod.)
- Alternative designation UTP 068 HH
- Suitable for nickel alloys, stainless steels, and heat-resistant steels
- Also suitable for joining dissimilar materials
- Usable for austenitic-ferritic joints
- Low-temperature toughness down to -269 °C
- Scaling resistance up to 1000 °C
- Also suitable as a buffer / intermediate layer in demanding applications
- High nickel content helps limit carbon diffusion from unalloyed steel into the stainless region
