TIG WELD ML5183 Wire (AlMg4,5Mn) 2.4x1000mm/5kg

TIG WELD ML5183 (AlMg4,5Mn) 2.4 × 1000 mm wire is an aluminium filler material intended for TIG welding of high-strength aluminium alloys with magnesium content. It complies with the EN ISO 18273 – S Al 5183 (AlMg4,5Mn) classification and is suitable for applications requiring above-standard mechanical properties of the weld joint.

Compared to the common AlMg5 (5356) wire, the 5183 wire provides higher weld metal strength, and is therefore often used in the manufacture of highly stressed structures. The magnesium and manganese content ensures very good corrosion resistance, especially in marine and aggressive industrial environments.

The wire is primarily intended for welding alloys of the AlMg (5xxx) group with higher magnesium content, especially where high strength parameters are required after welding.

Precision-cut rods with a length of 1000 mm allow for convenient handling and stable feeding during welding. The weld metal is characterised by good fusion, minimum porosity and a high-quality weld appearance.
