Bare, stainless chromium-nickel-molybdenum wire for welding austenitic stainless steels of type 18Cr - 8Ni and 18Cr - 10Ni - 3Mo. It has good general corrosion resistance, especially when corroded in acid or chloride environments. It has a low carbon content which may be particularly recommended for conditions where there is a risk of intergranular corrosion. Higher silicon content improves operational properties such as soaking. The material is widely used in the chemical and food industries, as well as in shipbuilding and on various types of architectural structures.
