BINZEL WL15 Tungsten Electrode - 2.4 x 175 mm / TR14-24 / 700.SK1186 / Gold

The BINZEL WL15 tungsten electrode is designed for TIG welding of steel, stainless steel, aluminium and other metallic materials. The lanthanated WL15 version provides good arc ignition, stable performance and reliable weld guidance for both professional and workshop use.

The 2.4 mm diameter is a universal choice for a wide range of TIG applications where good arc stability and precise welding control are required. The 175 mm length is among the standard dimensions for TIG torches and allows for easy use with compatible clamping parts.

The gold colour coding facilitates quick identification of the electrode type. WL15 is suitable for welding with both direct and alternating current, depending on the material, the power source used and the welding settings.

Tungsten electrodes with 1.5% lanthanized gold content. They contain less lanthanum than their blue counterparts and are best used in AC & DC applications. They are suitable for welds with titanium alloys, copper alloys, nickel alloys and non-corroding steel. The most commonly used tungsten electrodes. They offer long life under heavy or pulsed current loads. They have the ability to withstand thermal shock which provides the user with superior ignition with a lower burn rate. With a reliable arc and low burn rate, these electrodes maintain the highest arc quality while adhering to ANSI and AWS standards.
