MIG WELD ML5754 (AlMg3) wire 1.0 mm / 7 kg / ER5754 / BS300
MIG WELD ML5754 wire is a solid aluminium welding wire alloyed with magnesium, designed for MIG welding of aluminium alloys with a magnesium content of approximately up to 3%. Complies with classification EN ISO 18273: S Al 5754 (AlMg3) and AWS A5.10: ER5754, with material number 3.3536. The magnesium content of 2.6–3.6% ensures good mechanical properties of the weld metal, corrosion resistance, and suitability for use in construction and industrial production.
The welding wire is characterised by good corrosion resistance in seawater and very good colour matching of the weld metal with the base material after anodising. This property is advantageous in the production of architectural aluminium structures where a uniform surface finish appearance is required. Inert shielding gases I1 (argon), I2 (helium) or I3 (argon and helium mixtures) according to EN ISO 14175 are used for welding. The MIG process is performed with direct current and positive wire polarity (DC+).
MIG WELD ML5754 is suitable for welding alloys AlMg1, AlMg2,7Mn, AlMg3, AlMg3,5, AlMgSi0,5 and AlMgSi0,8 and other compatible aluminium materials. It is used in the production of aluminium frames, profiles, structural components, tanks, reservoirs, marine components and transport equipment. The diameter of 1.0 mm allows for good control of the weld pool when welding thin and medium-thick parts. The wire is supplied in 7 kg packaging on a BS300 spool, designed for professional welding equipment and industrial operations.
