MIG wire ALUNOX AlMg4,5Mn 1,0mm/7kg (1.5183)

ALUNOX AlMg4,5Mn (ER5183) is an aluminium filler material designed for MIG welding of aluminium-magnesium alloys. Thanks to its magnesium and manganese content, it is suitable for applications requiring higher weld joint strength and very good corrosion resistance, including seawater environments.

The manufacturer recommends this wire for welding alloys EN AW-5083, 5086, 5454 and 5456, as well as other aluminium alloys with a magnesium content of up to approximately 5 %. Typical areas of application include the production of boats, pressure vessels, transport equipment, chemical plants and other welded structures exposed to high mechanical or corrosive loads.

For welding, it is recommended to use a shielding gas of 100 % argon (I1) or argon-helium mixtures (I3) depending on the requirements of the specific application.
