MIG wire ALUNOX AlMg5 1.0/2kg 5356

ALUNOX AlMg5 (ER5356) is a solid aluminium welding wire intended for MIG welding of aluminium-magnesium alloys. Thanks to a magnesium content of approximately 5%, it is suitable for applications requiring high weld joint strength and good corrosion resistance.

The manufacturer recommends this filler material especially for welding alloys EN AW-5005, 5019, 5086, 5454, 5754, 6061 and 6082, as well as selected aluminium castings. When welding thicker materials over 15 mm, it is recommended to preheat the weld area to approximately 150 °C. Pure argon or argon-helium mixtures are used as shielding gas.
