BÖHLER FOXcore 316L-T1 flux-cored wire 1.2 mm / 15 kg (58065) – all positions

BÖHLER FOXcore 316L-T1 is a high-alloy austenitic flux-cored welding wire with rutile filling, designed for MAG welding of stainless chromium-nickel-molybdenum steels. It conforms to classifications EN ISO 17633-A: T 19 12 3 L P M21 (C1) 1 and AWS A5.22: E316LT1-4/-1. It is characterised by a low carbon content and the addition of molybdenum, which contributes to the weld metal's excellent resistance to general, pitting and intergranular corrosion.

The rutile filler creates a fast-freezing slag, enabling welding in all positions, including vertical-up and overhead positions. The wire provides a stable and wide welding arc, reliable penetration, good sidewall fusion and minimal spatter. The slag is easily removed, reducing the need for subsequent cleaning of the welded joints. A mixed shielding gas M21 (Ar/CO2) or alternatively C1 (100 % CO2) is used for welding.

BÖHLER FOXcore 316L-T1 is designed for welding austenitic stainless steels AISI 316, 316L and 316Ti, including materials EN 1.4401, 1.4404, 1.4432, 1.4435, 1.4436 and 1.4571. It is used in the production of stainless steel pipes, pressure vessels, tanks, process equipment, and structures in the chemical, food, and petrochemical industries. It is suitable for selected applications at operating temperatures from -120 °C to 400 °C, depending on the requirements of the specific joint. The 1.2 mm diameter provides high welding productivity and excellent properties for all-position welding. The wire is supplied in 15 kg packs on a spool.
