BÖHLER ECOspark 460 MIG Wire 1.0 mm / 18 kg / SG3 / G4Si1 / copper-free (63318)
BÖHLER ECOspark 460 MIG wire is a professional copper-free solid welding wire designed for MAG welding of non-alloy and low-alloy structural steels with a yield strength up to 460 MPa. It conforms to the G4Si1 / ER70S-6 classification and, thanks to an increased manganese and silicon content, provides excellent welding properties, a stable arc and high-quality weld joints. The specially treated copper-free ECOspark surface ensures reliable wire feeding even at high feed speeds and limits the formation of oxides and silicate islands on the weld surface.
It is used in the production of steel structures, frames, machine parts, piping, pressure vessels and thick-walled steel components. Due to the good mechanical properties of the weld metal, it is also suitable for welding fine-grained structural steels and for applications requiring low-temperature toughness down to –50 °C when using a suitable shielding gas. The 1.0 mm diameter provides a good compromise between weld pool control and deposition rate. The 18 kg BS300 spool is suitable for manual, mechanised and automated welding in metal fabrication and industrial operations.
