MIG wire ELBOR SG2 1.2 mm / 16 kg / G3Si1 / non-copper coated (2SPF12KG16NR)
ELBOR SG2 MIG wire is a solid non-copper coated welding wire intended for MAG welding of non-alloy and low-alloy structural steels. It belongs to the material class SG2 / G3Si1 / ER70S-6, which is characterised by manganese and silicon content that supports the deoxidation of the weld pool. With the correct setting of welding parameters, it enables the creation of strong, high-quality weld joints with good mechanical properties.
A characteristic feature of this version is the non-copper coated surface without an additional copper layer. The wire is suitable for welding in a protective atmosphere of argon and carbon dioxide mixture Ar/CO2 (M21) or pure carbon dioxide CO2 (C1). It is used in manual, mechanised and automated welding, where feeding reliability also depends on the correct selection of feed rollers, wire guides and the welding torch.
The wire is intended for welding structural steels, such as S235, S275 and S355, and other compatible non-alloy and low-alloy materials. It finds application in the production of steel structures, frames, machine parts, tanks, pipes, transport equipment and in locksmithing work. The 1.2 mm diameter provides good deposition rates when welding medium-thick and thicker steel parts. The wire is supplied in a 16 kg pack on a spool designed for compatible welding equipment.
