Hardfacing Welding Wires
A special category is hardfacing welding wires, which are used to deposit a layer with high resistance to wear, friction, or impact. Hardfacing is applied to extend the service life of parts exposed to extreme conditions and heavy mechanical loads.
✅ Advantages of hardfacing wires lie in their ability to create a surface that resists wear and corrosion much better than the original material. This makes it possible to restore worn parts and save costs on manufacturing or purchasing new components. The weld has a long service life and retains its strength even under heavy loads.
❌ Disadvantage can be the higher cost of these wires and the more demanding welding process, which requires experience and proper parameter settings.
Use of hardfacing wires is typical in heavy industry, mining, construction, and mechanical engineering. They are applied for the repair and reinforcement of excavator buckets, bulldozers, rollers, gears, conveyors, and working tools. Hardfacing increases their resistance and extends service life even under extremely demanding conditions.
👉 If you want to extend the lifespan of critical components and reduce replacement costs, choose MIG/MAG hardfacing welding wires.
