MIG WELD SG2 Wire 0.8 mm / 5 kg / JQ MG50-6 / GOLDEN BRIDGE / G3Si1 / D200
MIG WELD SG2 JQ MG50-6 wire from GOLDEN BRIDGE is a copper-coated solid welding wire intended for MAG welding of non-alloy and low-alloy structural steels. It corresponds to the SG2 / G3Si1 / ER70S-6 classification and, thanks to its manganese and silicon content, supports excellent deoxidation of the weld pool. It features a stable welding arc, low spatter, excellent feedability and a uniform appearance of the welded joints.
The wire provides good welding properties in all common welding positions. According to the manufacturer, it exhibits good tolerance to mill scale and slight surface contamination of the base material, as well as low sensitivity to porosity. The copper-coated surface ensures reliable electrical contact and smooth wire feeding. A shielding gas of CO2 or an Ar/CO2 mixture is used for welding.
It is used in the manufacture and repair of steel structures, frames, car bodies, thin-walled profiles, pipes, and machine parts. It is particularly suitable for welding structural steels S235, S275 and S355 and other compatible unalloyed and low-alloy materials. The 0.8 mm diameter allows for more precise welding of thinner sheets at lower welding currents and good control of the weld pool. The 5 kg D200 spool is practical for use in smaller welding equipment, auto workshops, locksmith shops, and for bodywork repairs.
