The low carbon content supports resistance to intergranular corrosion, while the molybdenum content increases the weld's durability in more corrosively demanding environments.

The increased silicon content improves the fluidity of the weld metal and helps create a smooth, uniform weld bead. It is suitable for general TIG welding of stainless steel sheets, pipes, tanks, process equipment and structural components.
