MIG wire BÖHLER Q G 316LSi 0.8 mm / 15 kg / ER316LSi / 1.4430 (72116)
BÖHLER Q G 316LSi MIG wire is a solid high-alloy austenitic stainless steel welding wire designed for MIG/MAG welding of chromium-nickel-molybdenum steels and related stainless materials. It corresponds to classification ER316LSi / G 19 12 3 L Si / 1.4430. Low carbon content and the addition of molybdenum support good corrosion resistance of the weld metal. Increased silicon content contributes to good flowability and a uniform appearance of the weld bead.
The welding wire is intended for joining and surfacing matching and similar austenitic steels and steel castings. It creates a tough weld metal with good strength and ductility. According to the manufacturer, it is suitable for operating temperatures up to 400 °C and exhibits good toughness even at cryogenic temperatures down to –196 °C. Shielding gases M12 or M13 according to EN ISO 14175 are used for welding.
BÖHLER Q G 316LSi is suitable for welding steels EN 1.4401, 1.4404, 1.4435, 1.4436, 1.4571 and 1.4583 and other compatible materials including AISI 316L, 316Ti and 316Cb. It is used in the manufacture and repair of stainless steel pipes, tanks, reservoirs, technological equipment and structures in the chemical, food and mechanical engineering industries. The diameter of 0.8 mm allows for more precise welding of thinner stainless materials and good control of the weld pool. The wire is supplied in 15 kg packs on a spool.
