MIG Wire BÖHLER Q G 316LSi 1.2 mm / 15 kg / ER316LSi / 1.4430 (72118)
BÖHLER Q G 316LSi MIG wire is a solid high-alloy austenitic stainless steel welding wire designed for MAG welding of chrome-nickel-molybdenum steels and similar stainless materials. It corresponds to classification ER316LSi / G 19 12 3 L Si / 1.4430. Low carbon content and the addition of molybdenum enhance corrosion resistance, including intergranular corrosion. Increased silicon content improves the weld pool fluidity and promotes a smooth weld bead appearance.
The welding wire is suitable for joining and surfacing matching and similar austenitic stainless steels and steel castings. It features good welding and feeding properties, a stable arc, and good weld metal toughness. With a suitably designed welded joint, it can be used in operating conditions up to 400 °C and in selected cryogenic applications down to -196 °C. Shielding gases of classes M12 and M13 according to EN ISO 14175 are used for welding.
BÖHLER Q G 316LSi is suitable for welding steels EN 1.4401, 1.4404, 1.4435, 1.4436, 1.4571 and 1.4583 and compatible materials of type AISI 316, 316L and 316Ti. It is used in the production of stainless steel pipes, tanks, reservoirs, pressure vessels, process piping, and structures in the chemical, food, and mechanical engineering industries. The diameter of 1.2 mm provides higher deposition rates and is suitable for welding medium-thick and thicker stainless steel parts. The wire is supplied in 15 kg spool packaging for professional and industrial use.
