MIG wire BÖHLER ECOspark 8-NC 1.0 mm / 18 kg (SG3/G4Si1) BS300 – non-copper coated (86006)
BÖHLER ECOspark 8-NC wire is a high-quality non-copper coated solid welding wire designed for MAG welding of non-alloy and fine-grained structural steels. It corresponds to classification EN ISO 14341-A: G 46 4 M21 4Si1 / G 46 4 C1 4Si1 and AWS A5.18: ER70S-6. It belongs to the SG3/G4Si1 group and, thanks to its higher manganese and silicon content, provides good deoxidation properties, high strength, and toughness of the weld metal.
The main advantage of the wire is the special ECOspark surface technology without a copper coating layer. The optimised surface ensures very good feeding properties even at high feed speeds, a stable welding arc, and significantly reduced formation of oxides and silicate deposits on the weld surface. These properties help reduce the need for subsequent weld cleaning and make the wire suitable for manual, mechanised, and robotic welding. It can be used with shielding gases C1 (100% CO2), M21 (Ar/CO2), and M33 according to EN ISO 14175.
BÖHLER ECOspark 8-NC is designed for welding structural steels with a yield strength of up to approximately 460 MPa. It is suitable for steels S235JR, S275JR, S355JR, S355J2, S460N, selected pressure steels P235GH to P355GH, and other compatible non-alloy and fine-grained steels. It is used in the production of steel structures, frames, beams, pressure vessels, boilers, machine parts, transport technology, and welded assemblies. The diameter of 1.0 mm allows for universal use when welding thinner and medium-thick steel parts. The wire is supplied on an 18 kg BS300 spool for professional and industrial welding workshops.
