MIG Wire ELBOR SG2 1.6 mm / 16 kg / G3Si1 (2SPF16KG16)
ELBOR SG2 MIG wire is a copper-coated solid welding wire designed for MAG welding of non-alloy and low-alloy structural steels. It corresponds to classification SG2 / G3Si1 / ER70S-6 according to EN ISO 14341-A and AWS A5.18. Thanks to its manganese and silicon content, it supports the deoxidation of the weld pool and the creation of welded joints with good mechanical properties. It features a stable welding arc, low spatter formation, and a uniform weld bead appearance.
The copper-coated surface of the wire ensures reliable electrical contact and supports smooth feeding through the welding torch. The wire is suitable for welding in all common welding positions using CO2 (C1) or an Ar/CO2 (M21) mixture shielding gas. Thanks to its excellent welding properties, it is used for manual, mechanised, and automated welding of steel components.
The wire is used in the manufacture and repair of steel structures, frames, machine parts, tanks, pipes, transport equipment, and other welded components. It is suitable for welding structural steels S235, S275, and S355 and other compatible unalloyed and low-alloy materials. The 1.6 mm diameter enables a higher deposition rate and productive welding of thicker materials, particularly for longer welds and multi-pass welding. The 16 kg pack is designed for regular professional use in metalworking, locksmith workshops, and industrial operations.
