MIG Wire ELBOR SG2 0.8 mm / 16 kg / G3Si1 (2SPF08KG16)
ELBOR SG2 MIG wire is a copper-coated solid welding wire designed for MAG welding of non-alloy and low-alloy structural steels. It corresponds to classification SG2 / G3Si1 / ER70S-6 and, thanks to its manganese and silicon content, supports weld pool deoxidation, a stable welding arc, and good mechanical properties of the weld metal. It is characterised by low spatter formation and a uniform appearance of the welded joints.
The copper-coated surface of the wire ensures reliable electrical contact and smooth feeding through the welding torch. The wire is suitable for welding in all common welding positions using CO2 or Ar/CO2 mixture shielding gas. It is used in manual, mechanised, and automated welding.
It is used in the manufacture and repair of steel structures, car bodies, thin-walled profiles, frames, tanks, pipes, and machine parts. It is particularly suitable for welding structural steels S235, S275 and S355 and other compatible unalloyed and low-alloy materials. The 0.8 mm diameter allows for more precise welding of thinner materials at a lower welding current and good control of the weld pool. The 16 kg D300 spool is suitable for regular use in metalworking, locksmith shops, and industrial operations.
