ELBOR SG2 MIG Wire 0.6 mm / 5 kg / G3Si1
ELBOR SG2 MIG wire is a copper-coated solid welding wire designed for MAG welding of non-alloy and low-alloy structural steels. It belongs to the SG2 / G3Si1 material class, characterised by manganese and silicon content that supports the deoxidation of the weld pool. It provides a stable welding arc, low spatter, and a high-quality appearance of weld joints when the welding parameters are correctly set.
The copper-coated surface ensures reliable electrical contact and smooth wire feeding. It is suitable for welding in all common welding positions under the protection of pure CO2 or an Ar/CO2 mixed gas. It is used in the manufacture and repair of steel structures, car bodies, thin-walled profiles, frames and machine parts.
The wire is particularly suitable for welding structural steels S235, S275 and S355 and other compatible unalloyed and low-alloy steels. The 0.6 mm diameter allows for more precise welding of thin sheets at lower welding currents and better control of heat input. The 5 kg pack is practical for use in smaller welders, auto workshops, garages and for locksmithing work.
