BÖHLER Union Almg 5 MIG wire is an aluminium welding wire designed for MIG welding of AlMg type aluminium alloys with a magnesium content of up to approximately 5%. It is used in applications where high weld strength, corrosion resistance, and reliable joining of aluminium parts are essential.

Class 5356 / ER5356 welding wire is particularly suitable for constructions and parts made of aluminium-magnesium alloys used in mechanical engineering, tank manufacturing, transport technology, shipbuilding, metalworking, and for repairing aluminium components. The weld metal is resistant to seawater and provides good colour matching with the base material after anodising.

The 1.2 mm diameter is suitable for welding medium-thickness aluminium materials and applications where stable performance and smooth wire feeding are required. The 7 kg packaging is practical for regular workshop, service, and production use.
