MIG wire ELBOR SG3 1.2 mm / 16 kg / G4Si1 / D300 (3SPF12KG16)
ELBOR SG3 MIG wire is a copper-coated solid welding wire intended for MAG welding of non-alloy and low-alloy structural steels. It conforms to the SG3 / G4Si1 / ER70S-6 classification according to EN ISO 14341-A and AWS A5.18. Compared to SG2 wire, it has a higher manganese and silicon content, which supports the deoxidation of the weld pool, a stable welding arc, and good mechanical properties of the weld metal.
The wire is characterised by a stable arc, good feeding properties and a uniform appearance of the weld bead. The copper-coated surface supports reliable electrical contact and smooth feeding through the welding torch. It is suitable for welding in all common welding positions using CO2 (C1) shielding gas or an Ar/CO2 mixture (M21). It is used for manual, mechanised, and automated welding of steel parts.
ELBOR SG3 is suitable for welding structural steels S235, S275 and S355 and other compatible non-alloy and low-alloy materials. It is used in the manufacture of steel structures, frames, piping, pressure vessels, machine parts and components for the railway or shipbuilding industry. The 1.2 mm diameter provides a higher deposition rate when welding medium-thick and thicker steel parts. The 16 kg D300 spool is suitable for regular professional use in metal fabrication and industrial operations.
