MIG Wire ELBOR SG3 1.0 mm / 16 kg / G4Si1 / D300 (3SPF10KG16)
ELBOR SG3 MIG wire is a copper-coated solid welding wire intended for MAG welding of non-alloy and low-alloy structural steels. It conforms to the SG3 / G4Si1 / ER70S-6 classification according to EN ISO 14341-A and AWS A5.18. Compared to standard SG2 wire, it has a higher manganese and silicon content, which promotes weld pool deoxidation, welding arc stability, and good mechanical properties of the weld metal.
The wire is characterised by good arc stability, a uniform weld bead appearance and reliable welding properties in all common positions. The copper-coated surface promotes electrical contact with the welding tip and smooth feeding through the welding torch. It is suitable for welding with CO2 (C1) or an Ar/CO2 (M21) mixture shielding gas. With correct parameter settings, it provides high-quality weld joints with good strength and toughness.
ELBOR SG3 is used in the manufacture and repair of steel structures, frames, piping, pressure equipment, machine parts, railway and shipbuilding structures. It is particularly suitable for welding steels S235, S275, S355 and other compatible structural steels, including selected pressure steels. The 1.0 mm diameter provides a good balance between deposition rate and weld pool control when welding thinner and medium-thickness steel parts. The wire is supplied in 16 kg packaging on a D300 spool for professional use in metalworking and industrial operations.
