MIG wire ELBOR SG3 1.0 mm / 250 kg / G4Si1 / DRUM (3SPF10KG250)
ELBOR SG3 MIG wire is a copper-coated solid welding wire intended for MAG welding of non-alloy and low-alloy structural steels. It conforms to the SG3 / G4Si1 / ER70S-6 classification according to EN ISO 14341-A and AWS A5.18. Compared to standard SG2 wire, it contains a higher proportion of manganese and silicon, which promote weld pool deoxidation, welding arc stability, and good mechanical properties of the weld metal.
The wire features a stable welding arc, good feeding properties and a uniform weld bead appearance. The copper-coated surface supports reliable electrical contact and smooth feeding through the welding torch. It is suitable for welding with CO2 (C1) or an Ar/CO2 (M21) mixture shielding gas. It is used for manual, mechanised, and automated welding of steel parts.
ELBOR SG3 is suitable for welding structural steels S235, S275 and S355 and other compatible non-alloy and low-alloy materials. It is used in the production of steel structures, frames, pipelines, pressure equipment, machine parts, and components for the railway or shipbuilding industries. The 1.0 mm diameter provides a good balance between deposition rate and weld pool control when welding thinner and medium-thickness steel parts.
The wire is supplied in a high-capacity DRUM packaging weighing 250 kg, which is suitable for industrial and automated welding workstations with high filler material consumption. Drum packaging enables longer continuous operation without frequent spool changes and helps reduce downtime in serial production. A suitable unwinding and wire guidance system from the drum is required for use.
