BÖHLER EMK 6-Ultra MIG Wire 1.2 mm / 18 kg / SG2 / G3Si1 (89148)
BÖHLER EMK 6-Ultra MIG wire is a professional copper-coated solid welding wire designed for MAG welding of non-alloy and low-alloy structural steels. It corresponds to the SG2 / G3Si1 / ER70S-6 classification and is suitable for welding steels with a yield strength of up to approximately 420 MPa. The optimised chemical composition, containing manganese and silicon, supports the deoxidation of the weld pool and ensures high-quality mechanical properties of the weld metal.
The special design of the EMK Ultra range provides a stable welding arc, low spatter and reliable wire feeding, even at higher feed speeds. The copper-coated surface ensures good electrical contact and a smooth welding process. The wire can be used with argon and CO2-based shielding gas mixtures as well as pure CO2. It is suitable for manual, mechanised and robotic welding.
It is used in the manufacture of steel structures, machine parts, frames, transport equipment, tanks, reservoirs and piping systems. It is particularly suitable for welding structural steels S235, S275 and S355, as well as other compatible non-alloy and low-alloy steels. The 1,2 mm diameter allows for higher deposition rates and efficient welding of medium and thick materials. The 18 kg BS300 spool is practical for regular use in metal fabrication and industrial plants.
